Born in the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, I am proud to be a genuine Cockney. I have worked most of my life on the buses and moved to the Isle of Wight in 1999. Now close to retirement, I was speaking to Macca about working on the radio in Texas, USA and he invited me to present some programmes on Vectis Radio.
I like all kinds of music, but for me the Sixties will always be the era where anybody could be a musician as the freedom of the individual took the reins from the Establishment. I love anything produced by Joe Meek, instrumentals, (I play guitar in the Five O Clock Shadows), and the British girls like Helen Shapiro, Dusty Springfield, plus some of the lesser known ones such as Glenda Collins and Kim Roberts.
