About Us in Brief

Vectis Radio & The Vectis Radio Training School Supporting Our Community Since 2010
Vectis Radio is proud to be the Isle of Wight’s true community radio station. Founded in 2010, we exist for one purpose: to give islanders a voice. We are a not-for-profit station, run with passion, dedication, and a commitment to serving the community we love.
Over the years, we’ve offered countless islanders the chance to step behind the microphone, learn new skills, and share their stories. In 2013, we launched the Vectis Radio 4Ps Training School, a project designed to help young people build confidence and communication skills through radio. The “4Ps” Presenting, Producing, Podcasting, and Promoting give young people hands-on experience, helping them develop self-belief, teamwork, and real-world skills that last a lifetime.
We know these opportunities change lives; we’ve seen it happen. But as a not-for-profit organisation, we rely heavily on the support of our community to continue this work. Every donation, sponsorship, and form of support helps us stay on air, train more young people, and ensure the island continues to have a platform where every voice matters.
If you value what we do and want to help us keep making a difference, please consider supporting Vectis Radio. With your help, we can continue the important work we started back in 2010 and keep offering opportunities that empower, inspire, and uplift our community.
