"Living on a small Island has made me acutely aware of the sea and how we live, work and play along the ever-changing boundary on the littoral or, the edge. I wanted to look further and it was this that prompted the work that is being presented as 'The Edge' " - Jim Elston.
A chilly early morning at Wooton Creek is followed by a decaying floating home at Banbridge, shot on 35mm black and white film.
The stretch between Ryde and Fishbourne is steeped in history, relics from landing stages from the Middle Ages nestle with modern builds and passing ferries.
Looking across the Solent we find Fawley refinery, the sun setting over it while its chimneys belch fumes into the atmosphere.
A couple of people hurry past a traditional seaside shelter, unaware of the thousands of people who have stopped there, to shelter, pause, eat lunch and admire the view.
Visit this thought-provoking and sometimes challenging exhibition to find these pictures and many more revealing moments in lives that are lived here, on The Edge.
