How to Listen

Listen to Vectis Radio in your car, at home or at work! We’re available across the Isle of Wight (and even parts of Southampton and Portsmouth). Just tune your radio to FM104.6

AVAILABLE ON DAB FROM SPRING 2026

A new collaborative community interest company, Wight Digital Radio CIC, has successfully bid for the new DAB radio multiplex licence covering the Isle of Wight.

The licence is expected to launch early 2026. If you are interested, please get in touch click the button below.

You can listen to Vectis Radio on FM, online, via apps, and on smart speakers like HomePod, Alexa, and Google devices. Here are the main ways and roughly how to use each.
Traditional radio (FM)

On the Isle of Wight (and parts of nearby mainland), tune any standard radio to 104.6 FM to hear Vectis Radio.
This works in cars, home stereos, or portable radios that can receive local FM.
Smart speakers (HomePod, Alexa, Google)

On HomePod, try: “Hey Siri, play Vectis Radio” or “Hey Siri, play the radio station Vectis Radio.”

On Amazon Echo, say: “Alexa, play Vectis Radio.”

On Google speakers, say: “Hey Google, play Vectis Radio.”
These usually use online streams (often via services like TuneIn or Radioplayer) and work anywhere you have internet.
If Siri does not find it on HomePod, start the stream on your iPhone (via the app or a web player) and use AirPlay to send audio to the HomePod.

Mobile apps (iPhone / Android)
Install the official Vectis Radio app from the iOS App Store or Google Play, then tap its “listen live” option.

Alternatively, use the UK Radioplayer app: search for “Vectis Radio” and tap play; this also works well with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the car.

Web browser on computer, phone, or tablet
Go to the Vectis Radio website’s “listen live” player (powered by Radioplayer) in any modern browser and press play.
You can also use directories like RadioFeeds, media.info, or radio.net that link to the Vectis Radio online stream and listen directly in the browser.

In St Mary’s Hospital (Isle of Wight)
If you are in St Mary’s, you can listen free on the bedside Hospedia system by selecting Channel 5, where Vectis Radio is carried
