Brian Curtis joined Vectis Radio in around 2014 he presented a Thursday night show the eclectic mix for many years until September this year, Brian needed to spend more time working on other projects, the door has been left ajar for a return possibly in 2022.

James Wilson presented the teatime show with Geoff Horsnell for awhile and then Covid kicked in and things changed so much that James had to spend more time flying around the world in his plane personally I think this is a dreadful excuse who wants to fly around the world instead of working on the radio. I do have a feeling and hope that one day James will return to FM10 4.6.

Shaun O’Brien came on board a couple of years ago and covered many shows including his own teatime show during lockdown and there wasn’t a show that he wouldn’t help out on. In December 2020 he moved on to another radio station on the mainland and we wish him well. Newsflash.....He Back!!

Richard Lawrence joined a few years back and presented a Saturday and Sunday teatime show for a few years until late last year moving onto another radio station, we wish him well.

Jonathan Francis Bacon first did a show for Vectis Radio back in 2013 and has had many returns and used to present a Tuesday evening show basically it was Jonathan’s record collection but it was rather good Jonathan left around 18 months ago to pursue a political career and to build up his record collection for a possible return after his political career is over.

Laura Galton started at Vectis in around 2018 presenting the afternoon show with John Hacker and of course son Archie. Laura is an incredible lady one minute she’s giving birth and in just a few short weeks she’s back on the airwaves but as soon as Archie was able to walk it soon became apparent that he wanted to take full control of the show and wasn’t prepared to take a back seat anymore.

Marko lucky boy Newlands was at Vectis Radio almost from the very start he presented mod anthems on a Monday for nine years and also a rock ‘n’ roll show on Friday afternoons he decided to take retirement at the age of 67 and we replaced him with an 80 year old!!! Marko is a legend and was a tower of strength through all years he was at the radio station there wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for us, he is still in touch and has threatened many time to make a comeback …

Kevin Wilson started at Vectis Radio in 2013 and was a real Jack of all trades presenting his own show and also going out on the road and presenting a cookery program, KevIn left a couple of years ago to pursue his acting career rumours are he is making a comeback watch this space ……..

Andy Knight was it Vectis Radio from around 2016 and presented an afternoon show with Dame Shirley before moving to mid mornings on a Friday he was at the station when we went FM and sadly left in around 2018, I am hoping that Andy will once again be on the airwaves in the future ……..

Tony Bray joined Vectis in January right at the start of the stations history firstly as an advertiser and then as financial advisor guest and caught the bug of radio and started presenting in 2012, firstly the Toe Tapping Sunday show followed by his own business show in the afternoons but alas all good things come to an end as Tony left for Telford in October 2014 to start a new life with Sarah whom he met through the MND Charity, no doubt he got off the Island by swimming the Solent…………did you know about his swim?

Pete Walkden started with Vectis Radio in 2011 and presented the afternoon show with his next door neighbour Dan. Pete doubles up as a Priest by day with the catholic church and became too busy in 2013 to give the show his full attention, his flock needed him more but the door is wide open….

Calder Jon Hughes joined Vectis in January 2011 and left later that year after presenting the afternoon show. The station will be eternally grateful for organising and paying for part of the studio walls.
