Dave, Russ and Friends

“The Wednesday Afternoon Show is your midweek pick-me-up, bringing the energy every Wednesday from 1–4pm. Hosted by the ever-unpredictable Dave Mac, alongside Ross (sometimes Russ… don’t ask) and Lilly — or Dave G — this is three hours of laughs, great music, and the kind of banter that makes you wonder “did they really just say that?”
Expect top tunes, some well-earned R&R, Weird Wednesday Facts, On This Day, and plenty of spontaneous moments that only happen when the mics are live. Oh—and yes, dad jokes will be squeezed in. You’ve been warned.
Dave Mac has spent over 25 years in hospitality, but music has always been his first love. He’s been playing in bands since the age of 15 and was part of the very first year at Platform One—so chances are, he’s got a story (or ten).
Ross (or Russ, depending who you ask) is a walking encyclopaedia of local knowledge with a serious passion for music. If there’s something worth knowing about the area—or the soundtrack to go with it—he probably knows it.
Lilly is a born entertainer, regularly lighting up the stage through live performances and public singing. Her energy and flair bring an extra spark to the show.
When Dave G is in the studio, things take another turn. By day he runs his own motorbike repair business, and by night he fronts the ever-popular Fusion Party Band, keeping dancefloors busy and crowds happy.
One thing’s guaranteed: no two Wednesdays are ever the same. Tune in, turn it up, and enjoy the ride”

Willowfly band chat with Kitty and Terry
Emerging from England’s south coast, Willowfly are a four-piece guitar-driven band weaving
melancholia into melody with an intensity that belies their short time on the scene. Formed in late 2024, their sound drifts between the brooding urgency of Fontaines D.C., the raw introspection of Wunderhorse, and the slow-burning haze of Horse Jumper of Love.Perfect for rainy windows and midnight drives, Willowfly channels a dreamlike sadness. Their music balances cinematic atmosphere with sharp emotional clarity.
In April 2025, Willowfly landed a spot as finalists in Wight Noize, a testament to the immediate impact of their presence and sound. They’ve since gone on to headline a major festival stage, delivering a performance that solidified their place as one of the most compelling new acts to watch. The long awaited release of their debut single “Cave” is here , and is being played on Vectis Radio 20 April 2026
They will also be playing on the Kashmir Café at this years IW Festival.
