The Art of Steampunk

Artist Ulrike Schmoranzer returns this year with an even richer range of gorgeous rust-dyed art made with imprints of cog-wheels and framed in beaten copper and - in one case - the remains of her shed. Become a walking artwork and make a statement during the Steampunk Festival and beyond in one of Ulrike's stunning rust-dyed upcycled shirts with bespoke hand-crafted copper buttons and cufflinks. Art to hang from the ceiling, art for the walls and art to walk around in. Our steampunk display also includes standing or wall-mounted sconces (candle holders with bells on) created with found elements, including bits of Victorian plumbing by Tim Bull. We also have a huge range of cutlery rings and bangles, compass necklaces and spoon bug brooches by Steve Hillier, and other steam punk accessories and artefacts. We have all-age metal-related activities, including a metals town trail with a small prize, and a jigsaw always on the go. Pop in for a browse, enjoy the art and have some fun.
