Hey, My name is Billy Fuller and i am 27 years old living in Sandown with my family and I am a adult learner at Vectis Radio and eventaully i would like to do Shows and podcasting things like that.
I am a big Football fan, like listening to Music(Club/Disco, Pop, Classic), gaming(PS4 gamer), watching TV and walking the dog Freddie.
One fun fact about me is that i got a nickname after Usain Bolt, "Billy Bolt" because when i was on the Princes Trust in late 2017 I was doing an exhitbition and one day we was doing abseiling and I went down the big and tall wall quite fast so that is why i got the nickname Billy Bolt.
I am Hannah Barker I am 27 years old my personality is bubbly and smiley, cheeky and out going. My hobbies are socialising, playing with my dog Suggs and spending time with my 21 year old sister Daisy, also spending time with my Nan and Grandad. Also family and friends are really important to me. I like to listen to Queen, A-ha, Eurythmics and Pink also I am a big fan of Twenty One Pilots, who I am going to see in June this year in the same place I saw Russell Howard Last year at O2 Shepherds Bush.
I like to cook. My specialities are jacket potato’s and pancakes and I am working up to omelettes, I will let you know how it goes. Update as of 27th of January I made an omelette with red pepper and later on I am making two pineapple upside down cake, I will let you no how it goes. I am going to make some biscuits today I will keep you up date it. Update …they were lovely and i didn’t poison anyone.
I want to be a voice for people who can not speak up for themselves. I want to be most empowered I can be because there is a stigma towards people with disabilities.
I am Robert Chip Clark and live in Arreton on the Isle of Wight and I have really struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic and found it really difficult during the first lockdown to adjust to not being able to go out and meet my friends or do all the voluntary work that I enjoyed including being at Vectis Radio. My family have helped and supported me throughout the last 12 months, but I felt I needed more help and support as well for my mental health.
I decided to call the Isle of Wight Council helpline number a few weeks ago and a really nice lady listened to me and guided me to a support helpline at Mountbatten, which led to me speaking to another nice lady from Aspire who told me she could arrange for a telephone befriender to call me once a week to see how I was doing. It has worked really well and I look forward to a weekly call with Malcolm.
I also wanted to learn more about how to be better with my voluntary radio presenting at Vectis Radio including radio production, promotion, presentation and podcasting and that’s why I enrolled on the 4Ps adult training course. I was hoping the course would help me set up music files, learn more about how programming works so that I can present my own Dance Music Show and also programme my own music for the playlists. I would also like to be able to edit and produce my own promotions for the show.
At the start of the course I was keen to learn more about what it takes to be a good DJ presenter and gain more skills, knowledge and confidence. During the course I received really good training and support from the Station Manager, Ian Mac, on how to do many more things that previously I was not sure how to do and this has enabled me to be more confident about my own abilities.
After completing the 12-week course, I am so much more confident now and ready to start a new dance music show on Saturday evenings. I have learnt more skills covering all the additional knowledge that I needed to know. I am grateful to have been chosen for the course and would recommend it to anyone that wanted to learn more about how to be a good DJ presenter on the radio.
I’m Josie Shaw 27 years old , I’m autistic and I lived in the Isle Of Wight.
I was born in the main land England with my mum, dad and older sister, but five or six years later we moved to the Island for a new life.
I used to go horse riding at Hill Farm and learn how to take care of horses than riding them.
I go to Way Forward which is a group of autistic and disable people who needs help, like a school day. I am also very good at Art, Photography and Drama. In Art and Photography I did a very good picture once or twice and got reset in Freshwater Bay. I’ve been doing Drama all of my life, and my favourite play was “The Wizard Of Oz”, because I was playing Dorothy Gale and I sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
I am here at Vectis Radio for Adult Learning because I like recording songs I always sing, produce, and edit them too like a DJ recorder.
I am James Westmore an adult learner for Vectis Radio. I am hoping to achieve to do a podcast show based solely on wrestling also to do predictions so that people can guess along the way as well so it’s fun for everyone during it.
Lastly just to have fun and enjoy the time I have here, just have a good time, there would be nothing to worry about.
